Memórias da Ria

Douro Acima is company which promotes tourism in the Douro Region and around Portugal, through a wide range of services. Besides the offering of cruise trips in the Douro River and restaurant services, it also provides a service of cruise trips in Ria de Aveiro. Douro Acima recurred to Fullscreen, as its partner, for the development and maintenance of the Memórias da Ria website.

This project had as its’ goal the development of a onepage website, where the routes and experiences would be presented, and in which was possible the acquisition of tickets.

For this, Fullscreen recurred to the CMS platform WordPress. This way, it was possible to create a versatile, fully responsive website, tailored to the client’s needs.

The Memórias da Ria website presents 6 cruise routes, on board of “moliceiros”, the traditional boats which traverse Ria de Aveiro. Each route is detailed in catalogue, describing the different experiences the customer may have, from tasting regional pastry to visiting Aveiro’s Salt Plants. In each one of the route pages, it is possible to obtain information about its’ duration, and to buy one or various tickets.

The website is available in two languages, Portuguese and Spanish, in order to reach the whole of the Iberian market. There were, also, integrated three payment methods.

The responsive layout has a simple and modern look, which focuses on functionality, in order to guide the user correctly through the sitemap.

There were made links to the Memórias da Ria social media channels, to promote the communication between the customers and the company, and so that the users can be aware of all the news.
